Picture quality: what to compare

Hisense identifies the 65U8N as a Mini-LED ULED 4K model. That describes its display technology; it does not establish how it performs in your room.

For daytime viewing, look for documented brightness and reflection-handling measurements. For films in a dark room, compare local-dimming behaviour, shadow detail and visible halos around bright objects. For a wide seating area, check off-centre viewing results for the exact screen size.

We have not measured this TV's brightness, contrast, colour accuracy or viewing angles. This overview does not assign test scores to those areas.

Gaming features: what to check

Match the exact model's supported resolutions, refresh rates, variable refresh rate support and HDMI inputs to your console or PC. Check which ports support the features you need, especially if a soundbar will occupy another connection.

We have not tested this TV with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, or measured its input lag, motion response or VRR behaviour. Published specifications describe supported features; they are not a substitute for documented performance measurements.

Audio and smart features

This model uses Google TV. Before buying, confirm that the services you use are available in your region and check whether accounts or subscriptions are required.

We have not carried out listening tests or measured interface responsiveness. If clear dialogue or fuller bass is a priority, compare the built-in audio with a compatible external sound system and check the TV's audio connections.

Our research-based verdict

Consider the 65U8N if its display format and smart platform match your needs. Its value depends on the current offer and the alternatives available. We do not claim it outperforms those alternatives without comparable evidence.
