Design & Build

Samsung calls this chassis MetalStream Design, with metal housing and a slim bezel. Check the stand footprint and mounting requirements before choosing a cabinet or wall bracket.

Display & Performance

Picture considerations: 4K resolution and HDR format support describe the signals this TV accepts; they do not guarantee premium HDR brightness or contrast. Compare this entry-level LED model with local-dimming Mini-LED or OLED alternatives if HDR movies are your priority.

Gaming: The HDMI input limit is 4K at 60 Hz. Samsung lists Auto Game Mode (ALLM), VRR and HGiG, but this is not a 4K/120 Hz display. Check the modes supported by your exact source and firmware. Motion Xcelerator does not turn its native panel into a 120 Hz screen.

Processing: Crystal Processor 4K provides upscaling for lower-resolution material. Results depend on the source; viewing distance and picture settings also affect what you see.

Smart Features (Tizen 2025)

Tizen provides streaming apps and Samsung TV Plus. Samsung Account sign-in is required for network-based smart services. Samsung lists Bixby as Voice Ready and compatibility with external Alexa and Google Assistant speakers; that is different from having all three assistants built into the TV. Confirm the required remote or external device before buying for voice control.

Connectivity

  • Three HDMI inputs supporting up to 4K at 60 Hz; eARC/ARC
  • One USB-A port
  • Ethernet LAN and Wi-Fi 5
  • Bluetooth 5.3

Plan external audio around HDMI eARC/ARC or a compatible Bluetooth connection. Do not assume an optical output is provided.

Pros & Cons

PROS

  • Large 4K screen for everyday viewing
  • Tizen streaming apps and Samsung TV Plus
  • Three HDMI inputs with eARC/ARC
  • Auto Game Mode and 60 Hz console/PC input

CONSIDER

  • 60 Hz panel; no 4K/120 Hz input
  • Only one USB-A port
  • HDR support alone does not establish premium HDR performance
  • Voice control may require a compatible remote or external smart speaker
  • A soundbar may be useful for movie bass and dialogue

Verdict

The U8000F is worth comparing for a straightforward 65-inch streaming setup or casual 60 Hz gaming. Buyers seeking 4K/120 Hz gaming, stronger HDR impact or more USB connections should compare alternatives. Check the current price, warranty and exact model before deciding.
